Starting a dev log


Ok, so I've been meaning to start a devlog, and I got a bit of an extra push to do this since this is required for the Improve my Game jam (https://itch.io/jam/improve-my-game-jam-44).

I'll be writing about:

  •  game design issues that come up in the specific context of multiplayer gaming using a lockstep networking architecture with deterministic simulation
  • other game design issues completely unrelated to that :)
  • multiplayer lobby development
  • technical issues that come up with a project that uses SDL3 on emscripten
  • technical and design issues that come up when developing a phone game

Don't hesitate to let me know if there is some specific aspect of Lockstep Arcade you would be interested in reading about.
